An oversize fall

This piece takes inspiration from a leftover piece of wood resembling a furniture corner, known as  "une chute de bois" in French. Presented as an installation, it creates a juxtaposition between the mundane and the monumental. A photograph shows an object positioned with a corner attached to a surface, displayed separately from the installation in the exhibition space, encourages viewers to ponder the connection between the two and the line between representation and reality. The artwork reflects the journey of wood from its discarded state to its new form, highlighting the potential found in unexpected places.
